Three new movies are coming to the Cover Theatres in Fort Morgan this week and starting on Friday.
Playing in the Cover no. 1 will be action/adventure film “The Grey,” which stars Liam Neeson, Dermot Mulroney and Frank Grillo in a story about stranded oil workers in Alaska who face off with wolves after a plane crash.
“The Grey” is rated R — restricted, no one under 17 admitted without parent or guardian — for violence/disturbing content including bloody images, and for pervasive language.
Showings will be at 6:45 and 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 3 p.m. matinees Saturday and Sunday and 6:45 p.m. Sunday through Thursday.
“We bought a Zoo” will play at the Sands Theatre in Brush this week.
Starring Matt Damon, Scarlett Johansson and Thomas Haden Church, “We bought a Zoo” is rated PG — parental guidance suggested — for language and some thematic elements.
Showings are at 7:30 nightly with a 3 p.m. Sunday matinee.
Also starting Friday at the Cover Theatres is best Picture Oscar-nominee “The Descendants,” a comedic adult drama about a family in crisis that stars George Clooney and Shailene Woodley.
Rated R for language including some sexual references, “The Descendants” will show in the Cover no. 2 at 6:45 and 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 6:45 p.m. Monday through Thursday with 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday matinees.
Held over and playing in the Cover no. 3 is “Underworld: Awakening,” the latest in the vampires versus werewolves franchise.
Starring Kate Beckinsale, Michael Ealy and Stephen Rea, “Underworld: Awakening” is rated R for strong violence and gore and for some language.
Showings are at 7 and 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 7 p.m. Sunday through Thursday with 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday matinees.
Also new at the Cover this week is “Hugo,” a motion-capture animation family adventure/drama directed by Martin Scorsese and recently nominated for the most Academy Awards this year.
Starring Ben Kingsley, Sacha Baron Cohen, Asa Butterfield and Chloe Grace Moretz, “Hugo” is rated PG for mild thematic material, some action/peril and smoking.
Showings in the Cover no. 4 will be at 6:30 and 9:15 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and 6:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday.
